The American Society for Quality (ASQ) is the world's leading authority on quality. With more than 100,000 individual and organizational members, this professional association advances learning, quality improvement, and knowledge exchange to improve business results, and to create better workplaces and communities worldwide.

As champion of the quality movement, ASQ offers technologies, concepts, tools, and training to quality professionals, quality practitioners, and everyday consumers, encouraging all to Make Good Great®. Globally, ASQ has formed relationships with other nonprofit organization that have comparable missions and principles ASQ's international strategic alliances  are helping to meet the quality needs of companies, individuals, and organizations worldwide.

ASQ members have informed and advised the U.S. Congress, government agencies, state legislatures and other groups and individuals on quality-related topics. And, since 1991 ASQ has administered the United States’ premier quality honor—the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award, through the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), which annually recognizes companies and organizations that have achieved performance excellence. Founded in 1901, NIST is a non-regulatory federal agency within the U.S. Department of Commerce. NIST's mission is to promote U.S. innovation and industrial competitiveness by advancing measurement science, standards, and technology in ways that enhance economic security and improve our quality of life.

Mission:

• Create an active forum for ASQ members interested in promoting quality methods to small and medium sized business. (Company’s with less than 500 employees)
• Provide opportunities for sharing ideas, identifying best-practices and showcasing quality tools designed for small and medium sized businesses.
• Help ASQ become a recognized go-to resource for leaders of small and medium sized business.
• evelop educational programming and events targeting small business leaders

Membership Qualifications:

• Experience working with small and medium sized businesses.
• Willing to share ideas, experience and quality methods for the purpose of establishing current best-practices.
• Interested in helping promote ASQ as a quality resource to the small and medium business community, then join ASQ's Small Business Network.
