Who We Are
The Association of Americans Resident Overseas (AARO), headquartered in
Paris, has been serving Americans living abroad for over thirty years.
AARO is a volunteer, non-profit, non-partisan organization representing the interests of over 6 million Americans living abroad. AARO is involved in a broad range of issues -- from voting to citizenship to taxation.
The organization updates its members on its issues and activities through its quarterly newsletter, bimonthly e-mail bulletins, periodic seminars and other events.
AARO also participates in Overseas Americans Week, a week of lobbying in Washington, D.C., along with its sister organizations American Citizens Abroad (ACA) and the Federation of American Women's Clubs Overseas (FAWCO)
