It looks kinda of empty here. I am having lots of symptoms after wheat withdrawl. I am wondering how long this will last before I start feeling better?
Nancy
Most patients respond rapidly to a gluten-free diet and will often report an increased feeling of well-being. How well they feel, and how quickly, may vary depending on the nature, severity and duration of symptoms prior to diagnosis. There may also be some "ups and downs" as they work toward the goal of eliminating all gluten from their diet. There is usually a learning curve to finding what food, drink and drug products are safe and which contain gluten.

Hi Nancy - yes, as Nicole did a great job in saying...there are a number of good resources out there to help you and other newly diagnosed celiacs.
This Meetup Alliance is primarily for organizers of local Celiac Disease Meetup Groups to coordinate events and for members of those groups to find out about other groups in their areas and in other areas.
There are probably other celiacs in your area who could benefit from having a local Celiac Disease Meetup Group to lend them support and a community to belong to. I wonder if you'd be interested in starting such a group, since you are already a Meetup organizer?
Let me know...I would be glad to add that group to our Alliance!
Ben
