CUPCAKES! CUPCAKES! CUPCAKES!

It's time to eat cupcake s, be social and maybe play some Boggle.

Our next meetup, we are inviting cupcake bakers to bring cupcakes for us to sample. We are also welcoming some of our tech friends who will be in town for Web 2.0 Expo.

I am bringing some cupcakes and a couple of Travel Boggle games, but if we run out of cupcakes, please feel free to walk over to Babycakes , How Sweet It Is or Sugar Sweet Sunshine since they are in the Lower East Side neighborhood.

The Delancey has a retractable roof, so we don't have to worry it is rains. Cash Bar. Happy Hour specials!

Hello Cupcake Alliance Members,

Last Thursday, we had a Cupcake Social 2.0 in NYC which was a happy hour with cupcake lovers and the New York Tech Community. Here are some of the pictures that one of our sponsors, Food Candy , took.

Our next New York City event will be a picnic on Saturday June 14 in Central Park.

6 Quick Steps To Organizing A Cupcake Meetup

1) Find a place to hold your meet-up. It can be a bakery, but also a bar where "outside food" can be brought in.
2) Schedule a gathering. Contact the bakery/bar/venue.
3) Tell your friends. Spread the word.
4) Have the meetup.
5) Take pictures and send a recap to me at [address removed].
6) I will post on the Cupcakes Take The Cake blog with your pics and link.

Possible Ideas for a Meetup for February/March
Champagne and cupcakes, St Patrick's Day (Guinness and chocolate cupcakes), or maybe a Pisces Birthday Cupcake party.
