An idea from the Kindness Center

    Hi everyone,

This is Francis with Big Give Vancouver. A friend of mine started the kindness center to spread more kindness to the world. He and a couple of friends started this project call 100 in 100. Essentially, its doing 100 kind acts in 100 minutes together with volunteers and total strangers.

I've told him that I want to do a similar one in Vancouver and I was wondering if anyone out here is interested in doing it too even though we are in different locations. We can all do it in the same day!

If you are interested, shoot me an email at [address removed]

Meanwhile, here's a link to what he has done recently!

    Pass the kindness on.

Francis - This is a great idea.  Maybe you could explain a little more how it works for everyone.  For example, it's not clear how you do 100 kind acts in 100 minutes (I.e., do you need 10, 50 or 100 people?).

    Thanks!

    Hey Sandy,

Basically all you need is 100 4x5 cards with a random act of kindness on the back of each one. Once everyone arrives(You can have any number of volunteers or get strangers on the road), they randomly pick a card and go out to do whatever the card says. Once the mission is accomplished, everyone meet to share stories and feelings.

The acts should be simple and requires no more than a single effort, for example, hug a senior and tell them how fabulous they look.

If you look at Michael's video, they basically set up a booth with the cards and off they go. It's a simple as that. You can do it outside Costco, Walmart or any place where there is a lot of people.

Is that clear enough? Feel free to ask any questions. If I do not know, I will ask michael about it.

    Be Kind
    Francis

This is awesome! I haven't had a change to make it to your meet up yet because I started a new job.
    I hope to come soon.
