This is a space for answers to likely questions about this Alliance.
Who should join?
Any group that has a social element, is interested in education of its members regarding philanthropy, is engaged in some form of shared giving (pooling of resources), and that meets regularly to promote the public good.
Note/Disclaimer: This is general online space for groups interested in discussing and exchanging information regarding grassroots giving and philanthropy only (i.e., this is not a forum focusing on political, religious or business issues). Neither the Giving Circles Alliance nor the Giving Circles Network (GCN) make any claims about or necessarily advocates the objectives or activities of a group that has joined the network. By inclusion in the network, groups (alliance members) have simply indicated their intention to promote giving within their group (i.e., there is no research on or verification of specific groups). The Giving Circles Alliance and GCN reserves the right to remove groups from the alliance that are not focused on philanthropy and/or that seek to promote their own specific political, religious or business goals within alliance space (i.e., that are not in accordance with the alliance purpose) or that in any way negatively affect or reflect on the alliance.
