    I apologize for the misinformation in my earlier email. CNN has currently cancelled the planned debate in Ohio. However, there is a petition that has just been started for a McCain vs. Huckabee debate. Please take a minute to sign this petition and forward the link to as many people as possible.

    Urgent Announcement: Your Attention Needed Immediately

    We have an online Petition which asks Sen. McCain to debate Gov. Huckabee before March 4th. The petition is at http://mustdebate.com . There is a short amount of time to really turn up the heat. This petition must be circulated very quickly, wide and far, and will become, I hope, a tool for the Campaign to prod McCain to debate.

    On the first full day of this post, we received 7000+ signatures.  I think we need to follow up tomorrow with making sure that this message has gotten out to everyone that we can link to.  Our goal is to have enough signatures that Gov. Huckabee can seriously use this toll by this weekend's talkshows and on the campaign trail.  We've made a great start .  We just need to broaden and push.  It may not be just the size that will be helpful, but the comments are very revealing.  People want McCain to demonstrate why he should be the nominee.  They sense he is afraid, incompetent, untrustworthy -- or all three.

    There was some confusion because McCain ads were actully running on the free online hosting service.  They were probably targeted for Huckabee supporters as a kind of intimidation/bullying tactic -- all the more reason we must do more and make this happen,

    I did talk to John Mark at Huckabee headquarters about putting this on the website, but got no firm commitment. He said to email him, which I did.  I saw no immediate response.  Obviously I think our efforts would be enhanced if the Campaign took an interest.  Perhaps others of you could also call the main office at [number removed] and encourage them to get on board -- after all its their campaign.  Just have them look at the form at http://mustdebate.com .

    Just an FYI, I did get a note on this petition on the Mike Huckabee official myspace page as a posting.  I did not see it on the web other than that.
