In a national emergency or to prevent one, we want to have WELL-ESTABLISHED lightening-fast liberty communication.

The interest in doing a Great American Walk for Freedom has swelled significantly in the first weeks of exploring the idea. There will be some kind of Walk for Freedom to Minneapolis ending at Ron Paul’s big rally there on September 2nd.

This is still something that is in the evolutionary phase. The input from participants has been crucial and has really helped evolve the idea, and will continue to be valuable and important.

**If all goes according to plan and we pull our Walk off properly, Ron Paul will join us for the final few miles.

**Right now we are looking at two routes: from Green Bay to Minneapolis and from Ames, Iowa to Minneapolis. Other routes are possible based on the number of walkers that register.

**We would like to start each route with 78-125 people (78 minimum, the number that Gandhi had when he started the Salt March, 500 is what MLK walked with to Montgomery; we already have 40 pledged to walk the distance!). More may join as the Walk progresses.

**We are thinking in terms of each walker as an Ambassador of Freedom. We would like to focus not just on making a grand display but on doing outreach as we go...stopping to talk with people, give out books and literature and hosting Town Hall Meetings in each town we pass through to talk with folks, answer questions and also meet with media.

**We need to get committees formed for Wisconsin, Minnesota and Iowa ASAP. If you are from these states, we really want you on this call!!

**If you are planning on walking, it would be big help if you could do a YouTube statement pledging to Walk and telling the world why.

**We are close to deciding to rent RV’s to serve as mobile dormitories/mess halls/bathrooms.

**An Association is forming to establish a bank account for fundraising. Let us know if you want to be on the Board of Directors.

5 Ways The Freedom Movement Wins

1. www.CampaignForLiberty.com - join it; get your friends to, and

2. Join the local Republican Party - become elected to a town council, PTA, state congressman/assemblyman/senator, district GOP leader, anything, ect. Its easier than you think. Get your 10 closest Ron Paul supporters phone numbers and have them help you and show up to the GOP events. Run for positions you can win and change policy. This is MOST IMPORTANT NEXT YEAR and THE YEAR AFTER THAT (non-libertarian Republicans are less active in non-Presidential cycle years). Mark your calendar for 2009 and 2010 and beyond. We will not win this year. Patience and perseverance wins.

3. Education - spread the freedom, pro-constitution message to your friends, family, and the young who yearn for real change.

4. As they say, people are policy, so stay true to the ideals of freedom . This becomes very difficult as one gains political clout and "power." Reread your Revolution: A Manifesto every year if you start to stray. Many of the neoconservatives and statists were at one time libertarian-minded - don't become like them. Have integrity , even if you lose.

5. Keep in touch with the friends you made in the movement - they will help you and you will help them. Your friends are essential to advancing the movement.

Dear Dr Paul,

We the people, your faithful followers, are winning national delegate spots all across the country for you. You have a lot more supporters than you "envisioned" a year ago, more than I think you realize now.

There are a ton of UNBOUND Delegates for McCain that can be swayed your way if they were to see you and he go at it head to head in a televised debate.

Our suggestion is that, along with running ads here and there around the country. Challenge John McCain to a nation wide debate and offer to donate $1,000,000 to the charity of his choice. (An offer he can't refuse.)

Obama and Clinton have had many debates but you and the Senator haven't had one.

We know that you will win as always and the unbound delegates will swing your way! This is important and will most assuredly get you a speaking spot at the national convention!

Please consider making the announcement, like you did with Rudy's Reading list!

We are asking that as many people please help by giving what you can. No amount is to small, though amounts over $325 are too large (contribution limit).

We want to show them what type of support we can drum up, and that if they wish to have our support of them, they had better not attempt to shut us out.

Ted Terbo needs your help in the next few days. About a third of his district votes by absentee ballots that are mailed out on the 5 ^th and a large percentage of these are cast and sent in immediately. If you have free anytime minutes or an unlimited calling plan and are willing to help get another freedom candidate into the House (Congress), please visit his site and get a script and read through the additional information. The script is fairly open as to what you say, so become a little familiar with the candidate. Then download a batch of names and numbers to call. Each batch is of 50 and you can get up to 8 lists per day.

each meetup and other ron paul websites need to band together as 1 national organzation.we have to send the message we are organized and stand beside the man we all want as the next president.

What i suggest is each local meet up and a national ron paul meetup.Brainstorm.Brainstorm on some ideals as to how to get the attention of the big media,the republican GOP,and the people, then once we have an ideal then we all need to make the commitmance to put our ideal into a massive street action.

Folks this is really serious stuff in the works we need to stop the talking and start acting pick a date a few weeks away so everyone has ample time to make arrangements to go wherever we decide would be the best place.

We must start showing up to these street action by the thousands not just 5-10 here and there(that just goes to tell the public we really are not that committed to The only person WHO is Really worth being our president.

You cannot ignore thousands of people no matter how hard you try! we need to have massive fund raising to 1)for transportation,lodging and other expenses i noticed this website has 413 local groups with 43950members now if only 2 people from these groups would show up that would be 826 people all at one place. think about what message we would be sending now you may feel free to visit my website and leave me your comments Gary

It is truly a remarkable tool that is scalable from tiny to humongous, private with filtering capability for threads and authors. And, it's free.

What many of us are doing is great and invaluable, i.e. web sites, specialty and focus groups or events, meetups, et al. Please spread the word about this additional tool for them and the thousands of individuals, local to nationwide, to augment their efforts. At this point in our "movement" its time has come.

Does anyone have a hot air balloon?

We are looking for someone with a 55' diameter hot air balloon to fly the blimp banners over the GOP National Convention in Minneapolis.

The banners are 30'x90' and both should fit around a 55' hot air balloon with at most 2' overlap. They have grommets for tie downs, and we could probably add a strip of Velcro along the top as is sometimes used in this application.
