How do we delete previous posts?
Who should join?
MeetupAlliance should only be joined by organizers/assistants of local groups of supporters.
However, everyone is welcome to join in the effort of electing Ron Paul President by finding your local Meetup Group and make sure they're a part of this Alliance.
What do you do?
We are the grassroots campaign behind Ron Paul's candidacy for President. We coordinate efforts among thousands of local groups throughout the States to ensure that our grassroots campaign has an impact on the election - one that we know will ultimately put Ron Paul in the White House.
Do local groups in the Alliance have a common meeting format?
No, local groups are as small or as big as they want to be, and follow no standard format. We do ask that local groups participate in our major efforts, such as the Tea Party on December 16th and helping out the early primary states.
What do you plan to do?
Elect Ron Paul as the President of the United State of America and continue the movement beyond the campaign.
What have you accomplished?
To date, we have held the biggest one-day fundraiser this election cycle, raising over $4.3 million dollars in a single 24-hour period. We have successfully enabled Ron Paul to go head-to-head with the "frontrunners," and made him a perfectly viable candidate to get elected. We have had numerous big events, such as the November 5th fundraiser mentioned above, the Philadelphia Rally with over 5,000 supporters in attendance, and the upcoming Ron Paul Blimp project. Most importantly, we have encouraged hundreds of thousands if not millions of people to join our movement from around the world!
How can I get involved?
You can start by looking for a local Meetup Group in your area that is already part of the Alliance. If you cannot find one, then contact your nearest local Meetup Group via meetup.com. If there's simply no Meetup Group in your area, then start one - you'll be amazed at how quickly people start signing up!
Meetup Alliance is in preliminary stages and will be adding more functionality soon - stick around and be patient.
