The Annual Ruby Scrumptious Birthday Bash

We held the Annual Ruby Scrumptious Birthday Bash last Sunday at one of our member's bars (OHM Bexleyheath,Kent who are dog-friendly and available for functions!) it was a great success!

The dog's catering was done by Daisy's Dog Deli & we had a lovely big doggie birthday cake & 35 party bags for the dogs! I totally recommend this company if you are arranging a dog party for your dog(s)!

About 45 people attended and around 30 dogs! we held a few fun contests (Best retrieve, Best trick) and I had lots of giveaways & prizes from various companies which the members seemed to be really pleased about.

I also provided a buffet for members + the editor of LONDON DOG TAILS magazine came along & also delivered 100 magazines featuring the group in the "Clubbing Dogs" article & with Ruby Scrumptious on the cover!!

There was no charge for this event but we charge members a 6monthly membership fee to help out with costs of running the group,paying for the website & Meetup group etc.

We meet every month, but have only had one real party with another in works. Our first party was in December of 07 which turned out to be a great success!! We had 50 humans and about 40 dogs, a huge doggie cake and doggie pup cream and a huge human cake. We got dog oriented businesses to donate products to be raffled and raised several hundred dollars for Florida Weimaraner Rescue.

Our next birthday bash will be held in June. We hope to raise a little more money this time.
