Freelancers Union is
a national membership organization that represents the needs and concerns of
Freelancers
Independent workers—freelancers, consultants, independent
contractors, temps, part-timers, contingent employees and the
self-employed—currently make up about 30% of the nation’s workforce. When we
all come together, that adds up to real strength in numbers.
Through
the Freelancers Union Alliance, local
groups of independent workers can share ideas and resources, coordinate
activities, and help each other build a national movement of independent
workers. We’re working together to achieve greater visibility for independent
workers, to educate policymakers and the public
about our needs, and to advocate for important policy changes.
Together, we’re building a national network of
support for independent workers that stretches across the country.
